The motivation, inspiration, and premise:
“If we do not energize the Food Industry Transformation Process through the direct actions of every stakeholder, our good intentions, aspirations, and proposals will only hover aimlessly in the space of academic and theoretical discourse without achieving desirable results.”
. . . and so began the story of the “2S-QA Movement” (based on the concept of SSQA - Safety, Security, and Quality Assurance), and launched August 2, 2023.
This movement is an informal collaboration among participants who share the common purpose of advancing food safety, security and quality assurance. Individuals and legal entities, including businesses, corporations, academic institutions, industry associations, nonprofit organizations, advocacy groups, community associations, government agencies, etc., could join, support, and promote the movement. The SSQA Implementation Manual, compiled and published by AFISServices, serves as the central reference for guiding activities that align with the objectives of the movement. The implementation manual could be modified if necessary. Participants in this movement may exchange relevant resources or services with other participants under separate contracts or agreements. Supporters of the movement may use the movement’s logos and images in their respective promotions of the movement and its goals.
Purpose statement:
The 2S-QA Movement exists to galvanize and energize industry stakeholders through the expansion of SSQA participatory alliance activities with the expected outcome of an equitable, trustworthy, and healthy food system for the benefit of all consumers and the planet.

The determination and goal:
To work wherever we are in achieving a continuously downward trend in the number and frequency of reported food contamination incidents with sudden death or chronic adverse health conditions.
