WELCOME to AFISServices Workshops

These are workshops with a difference. They provide opportunities for engagement before, during and after.

With a focus on practical everyday realities, these workshops are largely based on the Safety, Security & Quality Assurance (SSQA) principles.

A good balance of motivational and technical presentations is maintained to maximize the benefits gained by participants from small, medium, and large operations.

The format may consist of keynote and motivational speeches, Technical presentations, panel discussions, workshops, and demonstrations.

Is it worth it for you to attend?

Here are only some among many differences:

  • The AFISServices workshops are not scheme-specific.

  • Every session is worth the price of admission.

  • You will learn things that are designed to strengthen your programs and ability to meet the requirements of all applicable regulations, all schemes, all customers and consumers.

  • These workshops provide the place to learn SSQA principles and strategies that drive operation success.

  • A place for participants to interact with industry thought leaders.

  • A place to learn methodologies for ensuring consumer safety and customer satisfaction along with practical ideas for reducing the cost of regulatory oversight and optional certifications.

Registration includes:

  • The opportunity to attend all sessions

  • Ongoing collaboration between requesting participants and the providers of demonstrated systems, tools, services and concepts

Key Features:

Designed to:

  • inspire you;

  • get you fired up to exceed the expectations of regulators, customers and consumers;

  • help take food safety and quality management to a level beyond mere compliance

  • keep things practical;

  • show you the road map for relevant and productive action;

  • get you familiar with the tools you need

  • identify the true measures of success.

More than a conference:

  • The participation scope draws representatives from all sectors of the food and other industries

  • The opportunity to hear and be inspired by selected keynote and motivational speakers who are highly respected thought leaders in the industry

  • Presentations are on issues that are of direct and immediate concern to the entire food industry, therefore, to your operation

  • Participants have the opportunity to ask questions during the discussion panels (where scheduled with panelists that could include major customers, regulatory experts, industry thought leaders, etc.). Panelists discuss matters that are pressing in the industry and for operations:

More than a trade show:

  • The workshops provide the opportunity for carefully selected providers of tools and solutions to demonstrate how their useful tools, instrumentation, software systems, relevant services and concepts actually work

  • Presenters are free to promote and demonstrate their products, systems or services for your interest and possible benefit.

More than mere scheme compliance training:

Like many in the industry, you might have become weary of conference invitations. You have traveled the training and webinar, and seminar circuits. You have attended many scheme training sessions with mostly the same information repeated, and you learned nothing that was significantly new.

Some operations have gone beyond subscribing to conferences or training sessions that provide the same  scheme compliance information to the same people during every session.

The Afisservices workshops include:

  • Technical presentations and training sessions on strategies for implementing food safety and quality assurance programs that are relevant to your operation;

  • Presentations and discussions on current and future local and international regulations, and obligations that operations must meet and how to proceed with meeting them;

  • Discussions about what customers and consumers really need.

More than informative:

  • The workshops and demonstrations provide opportunities for hands-on experiences (where possible) as the  take home.

  • With the expanding scope of regulations, the constantly changing certification schemes,  growing risks or uncertainties surrounding customer operations, and increasing consumer awareness, food businesses need to be more than informed; they need to be well-equipped.
