Pietro is the Director of Shodan Analytical Incorporated, an R&D firm that works with food processors to provide risk mitigation and crisis management solutions to business processes. Prior to Shodan Analytical, Pietro worked in public service. During his tenure at OMAFRA, his key responsibility was to implement strategies for the surveillance of zoonotic agents throughout Ontario's Agri-Food sector. Pietro also specializes in operations management, statistical process control, and has a keen interest in policy analysis.

Sharon graduated from the University of Manitoba in Food Science and Microbiology. She has had several years in the food industry with successive roles in FSQA, manufacturing, sanitation, retail food and foodservice. Sharon joined Maple Leaf Foods in 2006 and currently has the role of Director - Regulatory Management. Through MLF industry association membership, and working directly with regional CFIA Inspectorate officials, Sharon shares industry knowledge and best practices. She represents MLF on various industry committees and associations: Canadian Meat Council, Import-Export Canada, Agri Sub-Committee on Food Safety for the Pork Value Roundtable.

Dr. Giannis Stoitsis is the Head of Product and a business partner of Agroknow. He has more than 10 years’ experience in data-powered agri-food solutions and services. He is an expert in developing and delivering advanced technologies for aggregating, managing, analyzing, discovering and visualizing data to support decision making related to the food safety sector. He has served in various operational positions in Agroknow, such as the CTO and COO, launching several data services for very important organizations and companies in the food sector. He is currently leading the development of FOODAKAI platform (www.foodakai.com), the premium food safety intelligence platform that collects, translates and enriches global food safety data from official and trusted sources in real-time and delivers tailor-made data insights for the global supply chain.
Irene Woerner is co-founder and CEO of emTRUTH. Both Irene and her co-founder are serial entrepreneurs with multiple successful exits. While at NASA JPL, Irene was responsible for all software, both spacecraft and ground systems, on a project to Pluto (now New Horizons). She was principal investigator on four AI research grants totaling over $1M annually. As a technology consultant to Fortune 500 companies, Irene led first of its kind technology developments that were all successfully deployed at scale operationally. Her first technology startup provided supply chain software as a service to the electronics industry and was acquired by a global, publicly traded company. Irene is lead inventor on granted technology patents.
James is Senior Account Executive at TraceGains. He is experienced SaaS sales executive covering the upper Midwest and Eastern Canada territory. James helps in the training of new employees on the sales and marketing team to understand the TraceGains software series. He also helps to facilitate the application of the TraceGains suit of software systems in the industry.
